Minimalist Dog Illustration & Vector Art

This is a personal vector illustration project featuring my family dog. The goal was to capture his form and playful personality using only clean, simple outlines, creating a minimalist piece that is highly versatile.

By focusing entirely on line weight and essential geometric shapes, the artwork remains recognizable and visually clean even when scaled down. The simplicity of the outline design makes it perfect for physical printing. As shown in the mockup below, the final graphic translates beautifully onto custom apparel like T-shirts.

Concept & Reference

The creative process started with a reference photograph of my dog. Rather than tracing every detail, I selected the most defining features—his ears, snout, and posture—to represent him in the minimalist style. This project was a fun exercise in digital illustration, proving that you don't need complex shading or colors to capture character and likeness.
